this year's theme: Thickets & Thorns (hence her name)

Meet Prickscilla Thornthrope, Lady of the Undergrowth, friend to all. The idea of Prickscilla came from natural references found (mostly) in real life. Her build references a very large, very animated thorn. As Lady of the Undergrowth, she represents thickets and thorns shown by the placement of vines, greenery, and shrubbery. She’s a protector and a guide—a reminder that even in the prickliest of times, all it takes is an outstretched hand to show you the way back home.

2024 Garden Monster at Newfields

(formerly Indianapolis Museum of Art)

This outdoor sculpture was created for Newfields' annual Harvest Nights event which takes place in The Gardens that surround the museum. It opened late September and closed early November last year.
